You need a therapist to get to the root of the issue and not just put a bandage on your symptoms.
While you continue to achieve success, you’re so anxious and afraid that if you make a mistake everyone will realize you’re not as perfect as you appear.
Deep down, you feel lost and insecure. Even though you’re highly driven and successful, you’re experiencing chronic anxiety and tireless self-doubt.
You’re looking for a therapist who will help you understand yourself at a deeper level so that you can gain clarity. You’re looking to break free from this relentless cycle of anxiety and turmoil.
You’ve done a great job managing a ridiculous amount of responsibility and your non-stop determination has served you well throughout your life. You may get everything done, but it takes its toll on you.
You’ve accomplished A LOT, but you can’t help but notice every slip-up. There are nights you can’t sleep because you keep recounting moments you are ashamed of and you question every decision that you make. Sometimes it feels like you only got to where you are due to luck.
You’re struggling to find purpose and on your worst days you feel miserable and hopeless. It feels like you lost yourself.
You feel like you have to hold in your true emotions so that you don’t disappoint others. You can’t let anybody see your true self because you’re worried they will see your flaws and reject you. When this happens, you just end up setting impossible expectations for yourself. You end up feeling like a failure and lashing out at others.
This doesn’t mean you can’t start living a life full of authenticity. It simply means that you need to uncover the origin of deep-rooted patterns so you can break the cycle of perfectionism and start trusting yourself.
The truth is, the process of self-discovery can be hard. It’s normal to feel unsettled diving into the past.
I’m Dr. Morgan Levy and I’m here to tell you that it is possible to live a meaningful life with loving relationships without having to hide your true self.
You can discover how to balance a successful professional life without sacrificing personal relationships.
You can connect more deeply with others and breathe easy without feeling so overwhelmed and overworked. You don’t have to be kept up at night questioning all of your life decisions. You can make mistakes and not feel like a failure.
Let me tell you a little bit about what it’s like in the therapy room with me.
Not only we will notice and talk about what is happening to you outside of therapy, but we’ll also investigate the stuff that is coming up between us in the therapy room. We typically have tendencies that often resurface no matter where we are.
Even though you feel nervous, you can use this insight and awareness to transform your self-doubt and anxiety into self-compassion and understanding. You can learn to communicate what you feel and form genuine relationships that lift you up instead of bringing you down over and over again.
