About Dr. Levy

About me…

Let me tell you a little bit about what it’s like in the therapy room with me. I believe that everyone has an important story of their own to tell. I hear from too many clients that they are constantly shut down and told that the way they are feeling is wrong. That is simply not true. So, I provide the emotional space to let you tell your story and everything you feel along with it. I know it can be really hard to find a therapist. It’s so important to feel comfortable in order to open up about your deepest fears, dreams, and feelings.

When we are in therapy together, one of the things we will talk about is not only what is happening to you outside of the therapy room, but the stuff that is coming up between us in therapy as well. We do that because we can have patterns that tend to repeat in so many different situations. Learning our patterns and where they come from helps us to change the way that we are living now. You have a unique story to tell and I will walk along with you through that process.

I am a licensed psychologist located in Boca Raton, Florida. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University and went on to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. My dissertation involved developing and implementing a mindfulness-based group intervention for older adults.

I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Nova Southeastern University Psychology Services Center. I worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families with thought and mood disorders. I also received extensive training working with individuals with trauma and interpersonal difficulties. After internship, I stayed at the Psychology Services Center to enhance my expertise in long-term therapy and personality disorders. In addition, I received training in couples therapy.

900 years of time and space and I’ve never met someone who wasn’t important.”
